This video showcases the next evolution of the XJ brand. XJ's like mine were all too recognizable after decades of minor style revisions. In fact, if you look at the XJ from the late sixties up until the late 2000s, on the surface it just looked like the car got fatter.

I´d really like to know just who at Jaguar HQ thought it would be a great idea to stick the front end of a Volvo V70 and the arse end of a Hyundai coupe on the body of a Ford Mondeo and call it the new XJ. Maybe I'm getting old, but I feel this car just lacks `Jaguarness´.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it doesn't seem quite as original, but I've actually come around to the design somewhat. I think the grill could've been more distinguished and I wish they would've scooped up the rear end like they did on the previous XJ's, but the interior is still in a league of its own.
