I'm having this same issue even though a Jaguar technician has now 'fixed' my 2000 VJ8 twice, only to have the same 'failsafe' problem return a few weeks later after running so darn flawlessly.. How can something that was supposedly fixed keep coming back? Please help me! My wife has run out of patience with me and I discovered a noose hidden under the bed.
the coolant problem is probably ur upper hose from the radiator leaking ...which was the same problem in my 03 xtype jag ....just buy a new upper hosing n thermostatthat should solve ur leaking
Hahaha, loving your rage face!
ReplyDeleteHow colossally nasty of Jaguar to use screws that only Jaguar technicians can remove. Thanks for thinking of us, Jaguar.
ReplyDeleteA truly frustrating design flaw that they don't sell the TPS individually like they do with almost every other vehicle.
DeleteStill working properly? My 2000 XJR is having this problem :(
ReplyDeleteHow to reset the tps on a 2003 x type?? plshelp

ReplyDeleteThe TPS screws are a 5 point security bit #20, not Jaguar specific. You can get a whole set on ebay for 4$!
