Admittedly, it's easy to be won over while watching a promotional video for a vehicle you already own. It is fascinating though to see just how the XJ8 was described, how they photographed it, and how they played up the features.
My XJ8 is technically a '99, but it is from the same series of Jaguars which were manufactured between 1997 and 2003. It was also during this time that Jaguar was owned by Ford and had been undergoing a huge makeover in terms of quality and reliability standards. This fresh injection of cash proved instrumental in reinventing the reputation of the brand, and they draw attention to this in the video.
