In fact, Jaguar would return to its roots during the war effort and produced side cars again. It's where the 'SS' nameplate came from - Swallow Sidecars. Following WWII however, the company dropped the 'SS' altogether given the unfortunate association and officially became Jaguar.
These beautiful illustrations show the stunning vehicles the company had been producing up to that point. The SS 100 looks like it would be particularly fun to drive.
