Steve McQueen's Jaguar XKSS

Steve McQueen's car chase scene in Bullitt is perhaps one of my favorite movie scenes of all time.  And what can you say, McQueen liked speed and proved it with his passion for racing and fast cars.  His 1957 Jaguar XKSS was one of only sixteen models made before a fire swept through the Jaguar factory and destroyed the remaining chassis.

The XKSS was a street legal version of Jaguar's famed D-Type racing car.  Steve McQueen reportedly had his license suspended twice because he got so many speeding tickets from it.  I can't say I blame the guy, that truly is a drivers car.

Steve McQueen owned his XKSS until his untimely death in 1980.
